Hot Spiced Cider

Hot Spiced Apple Cider is perfect for the Fall and the entire Holiday Season.  But finding the perfect recipe that's neither too strong or too sweet is a challenge.

This combination of apple cider, fresh citrus and dried spices is perfect to fill your home with
fragrance and warm you on a chilly night.

Instructions:
Although it makes a gallon, It's easier to simmer all ingredients in 1/2 gallon of apple cider and then mix with another 1/2 gallon.
Wash the orange and poke the clove into the orange evenly.  Place the orange in the pan with the other spices.
Simmer for 1 hour.  After simmering, replace the amount of cider evaporated with fresh, filtered water.  This keeps it from becoming too strong.

Strain and Mix with the other 1/2 gallon and store in the refrigerator.  Heat to serve in microwave or stovetop.
