Hot Spiced Cider

Hot Spiced Apple Cider is perfect for the Fall and the entire Holiday Season. But finding the perfect recipe that's neither too strong or too sweet is a challenge.
This combination of apple cider, fresh citrus and dried spices is perfect to fill your home with
fragrance and warm you on a chilly night.
Instructions:
Although it makes a gallon, It's easier to simmer all ingredients in 1/2 gallon of apple cider and then mix with another 1/2 gallon.
Wash the orange and poke the clove into the orange evenly. Place the orange in the pan with the other spices.
Simmer for 1 hour. After simmering, replace the amount of cider evaporated with fresh, filtered water. This keeps it from becoming too strong.
Strain and Mix with the other 1/2 gallon and store in the refrigerator. Heat to serve in microwave or stovetop.
